Desjardins wasted no time earning her fifth NEC Golfer of the Week nod of the 2008-09 campaign as she began the spring season in much the same fashion in which she finished the fall, coming away with medalist honors at the Lonnie Barton Invitational in Savannah, GA. After a first-round 80, the senior carded two birdies on the back nine to post a second-round 78 for a three-stroke victory (158). The win marked Desjardins sixth of her career, while it also helped the Blackbirds finish third in a six-team field.
