Caldwell threw for three complete games in three starts on the mound and compiled a 2.78 ERA in 22.2 innings pitched as the Red Flash traveled to Fort Myers, FL for the FGCU Spring Break Tournament. The senior went 1-2 and recorded eight strikeouts en-route to becoming Saint Francis' all-time strikeout leader (451), eclipsing the old mark by five, which was held by Stacy Scofield (2000-03). Caldwell’s first victory of the 2009 campaign came on Feb. 28 as she went 7.0 innings in an 8-3 triumph over Colgate, giving up seven hits, fanning two and issuing just one walk in the contest.
