Armenta proved to be a reliable option in just her first year with the Seahawks, helping the squad earn a season-opening 1-0 triumph over Penn State at the Kajikawa Classic, hosted by Arizona State University on Feb. 6-7. The righthander tossed an impressive four-hit shutout in her seven innings on the mound against the Nittany Lions, striking out three. Armenta added another 10 strikeouts in a tight 0-1 loss to Western Michigan.
