Jones’ team-high 199.2 average was a major factor in the 4-1 record Kutztown posted during the traditional play portion of Delaware State’s Capital Classic. On her way to claiming her fifth NEC Rookie of the Week award, Jones amassed a total pinfall of 996 over five traditional games. Anchoring the Golden Bears’ lineup in the No. 5 spot, the right-handed rookie bowled three games in excess of 200. Her score of 201 helped Kutztown past conference rival No. 19 St. Francis (NY) and her high game of 216 spearheaded a winning cause against Coppin State. Jones rolled a score of 209 against No. 5 Delaware State, which accounted for Kutztown’s lone loss in traditional team play.
