Patton claimed a commanding lead on the NEC’s triple jump performance list by logging a personal best distance at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational. The reigning NEC Indoor triple jump champion appeared poised to defend her title when she posted an ECAC qualifying mark of 12.57m (41-3.00) to finish second in the meet’s college division. Only North Carolina’s Michelle Newman fared better than the senior Blackbird.
