Rutherford became the second Monmouth Hawk this season to claim the Road Runner Sports NEC Rookie of the Week award after nearly qualifying for the IC4A Championships at Yale’s Giegengack Invitational. The first-year Hawk logged the second-best time (8.27) on the NEC’s performance list in 60-meter hurdles, clocking in only .02 of a second short of the IC4A standard.
