Brown became the first NEC jumper to post a NCAA provisional qualifying mark this season. The junior Terrier cleared 2.14m (7-0.25) in the high jump to set a new program record on his way to a second-place finish in the championship division of the New Balance Collegiate Invitational. Both Brown and Texas’ Raymond Harris posted identical heights, but the latter edged out his Terrier counterpart in a tiebreaker for the meet title. Brown, who cleared 2.09m to claim the Metropolitan Championship a week earlier, is in his first season of competition for St. Francis.
