He shot 55.6 percent from the floor and an impressive 68.8 percent (11-16) from three-point range. In a tightly contested 66-64 loss to Quinnipiac on Thursday, Hassan tallied career highs with 20 points and 13 rebounds to go along with three assists and a pair of rejections. His long three-pointer with seven seconds remaining pulled Sacred Heart to within one point. It took just two days for Hassan to eclipse his personal-best point total with 25 points in just 26 minutes of play in Sacred Heart's 101-72 triumph over Long Island. He lit it up from beyond the arc, drilling a career-high seven trifectas in nine attempts, and also added five rebounds and three assists. Hassan, who hails from Merrimack, NH, raised his scoring average to 10.3 ppg and now ranks seventh in the NEC in both made three-pointers (1.87 per game) and three-point percentage (.402).
