Gaines wins her second consecutive Road Runner Sports NEC Track Athlete of the Week award as part of a back-to-back Track Athlete/Rookie of the Week double. A week after she qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 60-meter dash, Gaines guaranteed herself entry into a second track event at the regional championship meet by winning the 60-meter hurdles title at the NYC Gotham Cup. Her 8.64s hurdle mark is tops in NEC by more than 0.3 of a second.
