Jones captured her fourth NEC Rookie of the Week honor in six installments of the conference’s weekly awards program. The freshman was a key player in Kutztown’s second-place finish at the Terriers’ New Year Knockdown (Jan. 10-11) as she posted the sixth-best average (199.0) of any individual at the seven-team competition. Jones compiled a total pinfall of 1,393 over seven traditional games and saved her best performance of the bunch (235 game) for the Bears’ 1084-1035 victory over No. 7 New Jersey City. Her second-highest game (224) keyed a 1000-927 triumph over MEAC member Hampton.
