Boyd averaged 10.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals, while shooting 60.9 percent from the floor (9-15). The San Antonio, TX product tallied 13 points and five rebounds in a 24 minutes stint in LIU's 74-67 win over Sacred Heart last Monday. He went on to post his second double-double of the season with 11 points, 11 rebounds and two steals in 25 minutes as the Blackbirds knocked off visiting Bryant on Thursday, 76-61. In a 76-61 victory at Wagner on Saturday, Boyd battled foul trouble, but still contributed six points, three rebounds and a steal in just 11 minutes. Boyd leads the Blackbirds in shooting, converting 55.6 percent of his shots from the floor, while ranking third on the club in rebounding (5.5 rpg) and fourth in scoring (7.8 ppg).
