Palmer continues the tear that has been her first semester of collegiate competition. On the way to her fourth Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week honor, the freshman forward came within one rebound of her eighth double-double at conference rival Saint Francis (PA). Palmer scored 21 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field and grabbed nine rebounds in the road setback, LIU’s only action of the week. She also tallied three assists and two steals over 26 minutes of action. Leading the NEC in double-doubles (7), Palmer is the league’s lone player to average double figures in both scoring (18.7) and rebounding (10.5).
