Crockett is one of the parties responsible for Central Connecticut State’s turnaround and first 2-and-0 start to conference play since 2000-01. The sophomore forward tallied 17 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in helping the Blue Devils’ to their fifth victory, a 66-49 league win over Long Island. Crockett was 6-of-9 shooting from the field, including a 3-of-4 clip from three-point range in the mid-December NEC victory that allowed CCSU to surpass its entire win total from last year, which was the Blue Devils’ first under head coach Beryl Piper. Crockett, who was inactive during her freshman season at UMBC, is the NEC’s second-leading rebounder (9.1/g) during her first year of collegiate competition at CCSU.
