Lilley completes a Red Flash sweep of the conference’s weekly awards by notching the program’s first Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week award since current teammate Shawna Scott was honored on January 16, 2006. The freshman guard averaged 20.5 points during the Red Flash’s back-to-back victories this past week. Sporting a hot hand, Lilley posted a 13-for-22 (59.1 %) shooting clip that included a couple key buckets. On her way to game-high 23 points and five rebounds at Youngstown State (Dec. 3), the rookie guard turned a 49-49 overtime tie into a four-point Red Flash advantage. Lilley scored the first basket of the extra session and assisted on the next during consecutive trips down the floor. Lilley scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and handed out three assists in her first career NEC game, a 97-71 victory over St. Francis (NY) (Dec. 6).
