Horton continues to impress in his second season with the Blue Devils, putting together another spectacular week as the Blue Devils won two straight home games. On Tuesday, Horton posted his second double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 76-51 win over Binghamton. In that game, he matched his career-high with seven blocks in 37 minutes of action. Horton followed that up with 20 points, on 7-9 shooting and seven rebounds in an 82-78 victory over Lafayette on Sunday. He added four blocks and hit 5-5 from the free-throw line, including 4-4 in the final 2:38 of regulation. For the week, the Ossining, NY native was 16-27 from the field (59%) and 7-7 from the line while averaging 20.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.5 blocks in a 2-0 week. Horton became the first player in the Division I era for the Blue Devils to start a season scoring 18 or more points in the first five games. He has tossed in 20 or more points in four of the team’s five games and leads the NEC with 22.4 ppg.
