Pelletier becomes the first non-freshman this season to capture the NEC Bowler of the Week award thanks to her MVP-caliber performance at the UMES Hawk Classic. Helping the Pioneers to a seventh-place finish (20 teams) and victories over five programs ranked amongst the NTCA’s Top 10, the sophomore anchor posted the highest traditional game average (208.5) of any competitor to claim the Tournament. On her way to a six-game total pinfall of 1251, Pelletier rolled her high game of 243 to power the Pioneers past 2007 NCAA champion Vanderbilt by a one-pin margin (1030-1029). The SHU sophomore opened the match by victimizing Vandy with five straight strikes and ended with a key strike in the 10th frame.
