Lomax provided the first big play in Central Connecticut State’s 49-14 rivalry win over Sacred Heart, sparking the Blue Devils’ first touchdown. With Sacred Heart punting on its opening possession, Lomax burst through the left side and stuffed Derek Marks’ kick. The ball caromed to the Pioneers’ 10-yard line, 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage, where the Blue Devils took over on downs. Four plays later, CCSU notched the game’s first score and a 7-0 lead thanks to the field position provided by Lomax’s special teams effort.
