Desjardins won her fifth career title and second in as many weeks with a dominating five-stroke victory at the Mount St. Mary’s Fall Invitational on Oct. 27-28. An opening-round 73 set the pace, giving the senior a three-stroke lead, and as scores rose in the second round, Desjardins held steady with an 81 to finish with a total of 154. The four-time NEC Golfer of the Week in a young 2008-09 season lowered her scoring average to 77.2 this year.

Co-Golfer of the Week

Carly Bergin, Sacred Heart
Fr., Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley
In her debut season as a Pioneer, Bergin captured the first medalist honor of her young career at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Oct. 26-27. Bergin, who came into this week's final tournament on the heels of a second-place finish at the FDU Invitational, was tied for the lead after a first-round 79, as she followed with the low round of day two, carding a 75 on the par 72, 5,917-yard Great River Golf Club course. The Binghamton, NY native’s 154 total helped the Pioneers claim a 16-stroke team victory in the nine-team field with a two-round score of 639, marking their first-ever win at their own Fall Classic.
