Hilt’s consistent defensive presence helped the Blue Devils to two Conference wins last week en route to qualifying for their seventh straight NEC Tournament. The junior defender played a key role in Friday’s shutout against Sacred Heart, which marked CCSU’s league-leading ninth blanking of the year. Hilt also contributed to the offense by tallying the game-winner in the 1-0 win over the Pioneers. The Leominster, MA native continued to provide for the offense with a goal and an assist in the Blue Devils’ triumph over Fairleigh Dickinson on Oct. 26, which marked the victory that clinched their trip to the postseason and gave CCSU a 5-0 record at home in 2008.
