LeCureux becomes the first Seahawk in more than eight years’ time to capture the NEC Women’s Player of the Week award. The junior joins the company of Wagner’s Jackie Riddle who earned the weekly honor on September 12, 2000. While Wagner split a pair of matches with St. Francis (NY) and Rider this past week, LeCureux was perfect in singles play at the No. 4 position. She did not lose a game in helping Wagner to a 6-1 team victory over NEC rival St. Francis (NY), cruising past the Terriers’ Angel Lawrence, 6-0, 6-0. LeCureux accounted for the Seahawks only team point in a 6-1 setback at Rider by defeating the Broncs’ Danielle White, 6-3, 6-2.
