Kabana won a one-hole playoff with a bogey on the 18th hole to earn medalist honors and lead the Colonials to a third-place finish at the 14th Annual Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport Colonial Classic on Oct. 14. The junior fired steady rounds of 73-72 (145) on the par-72, 6,632-yard course at the Montour Heights Country Club, which was voted as one of the 50 toughest courses in the United States by Golf Digest in 2007. Kabana is the first Colonial to win the event since Damien Mackman in 2001. The Pennsylvania product climbed to the top of the leaderboard by finishing a tournament-best five-under on the course’s four par-five holes. Kabana also finished second in the field with eight birdies.
