For the second time this season, Roche garners NEC Rookie of the Week accolades for her 19th-place finish at the New England Championships on Oct. 11. The freshman’s time of 18:26 paced the Bobcats for the first time this year and helped QU earn a 10th-place standing overall, besting the three participating NEC teams. Roche was the league’s top finisher and the first freshman to cross the line on the 5,000 meter Franklin Park course in a field of 301 runners from 45 schools.
