Desjardins captures her second NEC Golfer of the Week award of 2008-09 after posting her second top-six performance of the season. The senior fired a second-round 75 - slicing three strokes off her first-round 78 - to card a 153 and claim sixth place overall on the individual leaderboard at the ECAC Championships in Williamsburg, VA on Oct. 5. Desjardins, whose scoring average through four rounds so far this season is 75, was the top finisher of all Northeast Conference participants from the six institutions that competed. This honor marks the sixth of Desjardin’s career as a Blackbird.
