Snyder claimed her first spot on the NEC weekly honor roll after having a foot in both of the Hawks' game-winners last week. The forwardnotched the game-winning goal in the Hawks’ 1-0 win over Sacred Heart in NEC action on Oct. 3, marking her first collegiate tally, after a free kick was sent into the box. The service was collected by Kim Malecki, who sent it to Snyder to connect on a one-timer at 34:06. The rookie followed that performance by assisting on teammate Joni DeMoor’s game-winner in a come-from-behind 3-2 overtime victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Oct. 5. Monmouth, which trailed 2-0 at the intermission, scored twice in the final 16 minutes to force extra time. Snyder provided the cross for DeMoor to head into the back of the net. Snyder’s helper also marked the first assist of her career, as she now has 3 points this season in six games to lead all MU freshmen. The performance of the New Jersey native helped the Hawks (9-1-1, 2-0 NEC) extend their unbeaten streak to eight games, while they are now one game away from posting their third-straight double-digit win season.
