Kwei has impressed during his first few weeks at the collegiate level and should make a positive impact on a line-up that brought Quinnipiac within one match of the NEC title. Earning the first NEC Player of the Week nod of his career, Kwei was a singles quarterfinalist and doubles runner-up at the UConn Invitational. With singles matches reduced to one-set affairs due to weather, Kwei defeated Boston University’s Miron Nissim and Marist’s Marcus von Nordheim to reach the final eight of the Flight B singles draw. Teaming up with fellow rookie Garrett Lane, Kwei moved past tandems from Hartford, host Connecticut, and Sacred Heart to reach the championship match of the Flight A doubles competition.
