Drager captures her first NEC Athlete of the Week accolade of 2008 after a first-place finish at the Father Leeber S.J. Invitational, marking her first career win in a collegiate race. Drager broke the tape on the 5,000 meter course in Fairfield, CT, in 18:56.92. The senior’s victory also marked the first time a Seahawk has claimed a race’s top spot since Oct. 14, 2003, when Rachel Knous won the Rider Invitational. This is the fourth time in Drager’s exceptional career that she has garnered a spot on the league’s weekly honor roll.
