Gordon claims his second NEC Player of the Week award in as many weeks with the latest honor coming on the merit of his semifinal showing at the USTA Northeast Collegiate Invitational. Gordon advanced past the Round of 16 by winning two tiebreakers in a straight-set victory over Dartmouth’s Daniel Freeman. The reigning NEC Rookie of the Year reached the semifinal of the No. 2 singles bracket by defeating Cornell’s Josh Goldstein, an all-Ivy honorable mention last season. Harvard’s Alexei Chijoff-Evans, who went 19-7 last season as a rookie, ended Gordon’s run in straight sets.
