Roche earned a fourth-place standing at the Monmouth Invitational on Sept. 19 with a time of 18:51. The rookie was the first freshman out of 145 runners to cross the tape at the 5,000 meter Holmdel Park course. The field also featured nine NEC institutions, as Roche was the league’s third-best harrier overall and first among the conference’s newcomers. Roche placed second on the Bobcats to help them claim first place.
