Szewczyk is emerging as a real bright spot during what has been a tough season start for Siena. Making only her second and third appearances as a collegian, the freshman forward scored a goal in each of the Saints’ two games this past week. Szewczyk netted her first career tally in the first half of Friday’s game at Fairfield, cutting the Stags’ lead to 2-1. Earning her first career starting nod two days later, the rookie scored again to pull Siena even with Holy Cross, 1-1, in the final minutes of the opening half.
