Carlson was a key contributor in helping Sacred Heart break into the win column this past week. The freshman forward notched a goal and an assist during a crucial three-minute span that propelled the Pioneers to a 4-1 victory over cross-town rival Fairfield in their lone contest of the week. With the game tied at 1-1, Carlson sent a nice pass through the crease to Kelsey Zeyher who put it past the keeper in the second half’s opening seconds. Fewer than two minutes later, Carlson doubled SHU’s lead with a goal of her own on a breakaway.
