Four-time NEC Rookie of the Week in 2006, Simic received her first weekly honor of her junior campaign after tallying match-highs in kills in four-of-five matches last week. The junior outside hitter set a new career high in kills on two occasions over the span of five matches. Simic started the week with a career high 18 kills in a 3-1 victory at St. Peter's on Sept. 9 and continued play in the Tulsa Invitational, establishing another new career high with 21 kills in a 3-1 win over Sam Houston State. The Klek, Serbia native totaled 79 kills, averaging 4.65 kpg, and 66 digs (3.88 pg) as the Blackbirds went 3-2 in the third week of play. Simic had four double-double performances and was just three digs shy of going five-for-five.
