McCarty used his program-record eighth consecutive 100-yard rushing performance to carry the defending NEC champion Great Danes to an overtime road victory at Hofstra. The final seven of his 178 rushing yards came on a game-winning touchdown burst in the extra period that snapped Albany’s nine-game losing streak to Hofstra. Averaging 6.6 yards per carry, the junior tailback carried the ball 27 times to reach the second-highest single-game rushing total of his career. Also catching one pass for seven yards, McCarty now ranks 16th in Albany history with 2,153 all-purpose yards.
