In his Duquesne debut, Dixon nearly erased a 41-point deficit to Bucknell with his arm. Making his first collegiate start, the Michigan State transfer completed 30-of-47 passes for 429 yards and a program-record six touchdowns. Five of Dixon’s six touchdown tosses came after Bucknell extended its lead to 48-7 midway through the third quarter. After throwing for only nine yards in the first quarter of his first collegiate start, the sophomore signal caller established a rhythm that nearly allowed him to break Duquesne’s all-time single-game passing mark of 438 yards. Completing passes to seven different receivers, Dixon was not intercepted.
