One of the catalysts in the Mount’s quick start, Wheeler scored a goal in both matches as Mount St. Mary’s earned a split at the JMU/Comfort Inn Harrisonburg Invitational. Trailing 2-0 against the host Dukes on Friday, Wheeler scored his first collegiate goal, rifling a shot from the edge of the box to slice the lead in half. He registered his second goal of the tournament on Sunday, converting a penalty kick in the third minute to help lead the Mount to a 2-1 victory over High Point. Wheeler, who hails from Newcastle, Australia, fired a team-high three shots in each game. The Mount has now won two of its first three matches to start the year five times under head coach Rob Ryerson.
