Herd earns Brine/NEC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after a solid performance in the net last week, posting a pair of shutouts for her third consecutive and fourth in five games on the season. The three straight shutouts for the Blue Devils matches the second longest streak in school history, dating back to 2005. The senior netminder now has nine career shutouts and owns a 0.18 goals against average, having allowed only one goal in 510:00 minutes of action. Herd made eight saves in a scoreless double overtime draw with the University of Delaware on Sept. 5, and stopped four more shots in another 0-0 deadlock with Navy on Sept. 7. The Australia native has not allowed a goal in her last 370:05 minutes played, dating back to the win over UConn on Aug. 25.
