O’Hara followed up last weekend’s complete-game shutout of NEC regular season champion Monmouth by tossing his fifth comeplete game in NEC play this season to win what turned out to be the rubber game of a rain-shortened three-game series with second-place Central Connecticut State. The senior southpaw worked around a fourth-inning home run by Pat Epps in limiting CCSU to four hits and one earned run over 8.0 innings of work during a 2-1 victory. O’Hara struck out eight, including the side in the final inning, to run his program-record strikeout total to 280. The Blue Devils finished the season with a .295 average against NEC pitchers, but they managed only a .143 sample against the FDU lefty.
