Fowler tossed three complete game shutouts en route to a 3-0 record on the week. The Hagerstown, MD native, who also pitched an inning of relief in the second game of the Mountaineers’ double header with league rival Central Connecticut State, did not allow a run in four appearances, striking out 23 batters, while issuing just three walks and allowing eight hits. The righty opened the week with an 11-0, five-inning shutout of UMES, in which she allowed just two hits while striking out 12. Fowler then struck out nine, while once again allowing just two hits in a 4-0 shutout against Quinnipiac. She then posted a three-hit, 1-0 win in the first game of a twin bill against CCSU. Fowler’s 24 career wins rank fourth on the program’s all-time wins list.
