Fill joined teammate Ed Skowronski on the list of Monmouth throwers that have qualified for the NCAA East Region Championships. A week after Skowronski claimed NEC Field Athlete of the Week honors for his qualifying hammer mark, Fill threw the javelin 67.86m (222’ 8") to win the Lou Onesty Invitational hosted by Virginia. Fill’s mark, which surpasses the standard by nearly seven meters would have placed him ninth at the 2007 NCAA Championships.
