Pulsonetti claims his fourth Akadema NEC Rookie of the Week award in five weeks after another impressive offensive display during Monmouth’s five-win week. The freshman slugger hit .421 (8-of-19) while driving in five runs, scoring four times, and drawing two walks. With five of his eight hits resulting in extra bases (2 HR, 2 2B, 1 3B), Pulsonetti enjoyed a .947 slugging percentage. As first-place Monmouth took three of four games with NEC rival Wagner, Pulsonetti produced a .500 (7-of-14) clip at the plate during the weekend series. Nearly hitting for the cycle in the series opener, he went 3-of-4 with a home run, a double, a triple, two RBI, and two runs scored in the 5-0 Monmouth triumph. Pulsonetti hit safely in five of Monmouth’s six games, and made an impact in all six. Despite a failure to reach base during a 5-1 mid-week victory over Lafayette, the rookie drove in the winning run with a sixth-inning sacrifice fly.
