Chaloupka was a two-time winner at No. 1 singles this past week to earn a spot atop the NEC Weekly Honor Roll. The senior Terrier had little trouble in his two matches against top singles opponents from New Jersey Tech and Saint Peter’s. Chaloupka quickly defeated NJIT’s Steve Erickson, who entered the match having won nine of 11 top singles matches contested, by a 6-3, 6-2 count on Saturday. One day later, the NEC Player of the Week encountered even less difficulty in a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Saint Peter’s Serge Igel.
