Martin needed only one outdoor competition to qualify for the IC4A Championships in the discus. The senior thrower notched one of his two first-place finishes at this past weekend’s VCU Ram Invitational with a 49.18m (161’ 4") discus mark. Martin emerged victorious from the hammer throw competition too, edging Brandon Oliver of William & Mary by 44 centimeters.
