Girling, who is now 20-6 in singles play this academic year, has been enjoying a scalding start to his spring season. The Great Britain native is 6-3 at No. 2 singles since the break with marquee wins over Asaf Honig of St. John’s and Cornell’s Jonathan Fife. Girling contested the Columbia Indoor Classic where he knocked off Marist’s Landon Greene, but fell in the quarters to home-standing Dan Urban. The two-time NEC Player of the Week notched victories over opponents from Fairfield, Lehigh, and Queen’s during the new semester.
