Anderson takes home his third Choice Hotels NEC Player of the Week award to close out the regular season. The Oxon Hill, MD native averaged 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and shot 50.0 percent from the field in the Bobcats’ 1-1 week. Anderson may have provided the most memorable NEC moment of the year on Thursday when his halfcourt shot at the buzzer gave the Bobcats a 76-73 overtime win on the road over in-state rival CCSU. The shot was named ESPN’s Play of the Day and capped an evening that saw the senior guard tally 28 points (4-7 3PFG) and seven rebounds. Two days later, Anderson scored 27 points on 9-16 shooting from the floor, and added five rebounds and four assists in a 77-68 setback at Wagner. He finished the regular season as the NEC’s leading scorer at 21.7 ppg, including a league-best 19 games with 20 or more points. Anderson, who has now scored in double figures in 47 straight games, will lead the #5 seeded Bobcats when they travel to Emmitsburg, MD this Thursday to take on #4 Mount St. Mary’s in the NEC Tournament quarterfinals.
