Herron upped her conference-best weight throw mark while breaking her own school record at the Penn State National Open. Her top throw of 18.59m (61’), which is more than 2.5 meters better than the ECAC-qaulifying standard, placed her fourth behind three NCAA qualifiers. Herron’s performance at the PSU National now sits atop the Saint Francis (PA) record book, eclipsing her the previous best of 18.31m (60’ 1") that was achieved two weeks prior in State College at the PSU Relays (1/12).
