Boyd has competed twice at Seton Hall during his young career and now has two NEC Rookie of the Week awards as a result of those two competitions. The LIU freshman won the long jump (6.74m) and claimed second in the 500-meter (1:08.10) at the Seton Hall New Year’s Classic. The rookie sprinter claimed the season’s first Rookie of the Week honor after nearly qualifying for the IC4A Championships in the 60-meter dash (7.01s) with a second-pace finish at the Seton Hall Open (12/2).
