Johnson thoroughly cleaned up the glass again this past week to win her second consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week award. In addition to totaling 22 rebounds in two games, the freshman forward averaged 9.0 points per contest. She followed up her 13-point, nine-rebound performance at Lehigh with five points and 13 boards in the conference opener against Fairleigh Dickinson. Johnson, the conference’s fourth leading rebounder (8.1/g), has grabbed at least nine caroms in each of the past four games, all Long Island victories.
