Goode, who was named to the NEC all-Rookie team last season, helped steer Mount St. Mary’s to a 3-0 record last week, including a pair of wins over Long Island and Central Connecticut State to open league play. Goode averaged 15.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.7 apg and 3.0 spg on the week as the Mount extended its winning streak to four games. He began with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals in a 62-58 win over Navy on Monday. Goode drained 9-10 free throws in the second half, including the game-clincher with 17 seconds to play that gave the Mountaineers a four-point lead. In a 73-55 victory over Long Island in the team’s NEC opener on Thursday, Goode finished with 13 points, six boards, five assists and three steals. The Charlotte, NC native closed out the week with 19 points (6-10 FG), four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals in a 60-59 triumph at CCSU. After the Blue Devils cut the gap to 50-49 late in the contest, Goode scored four straight points to give the Mount some breathing room, then sank a pair of free throws with 1:34 to play to extend the lead to seven. A sophomore point guard, Goode ranks third in the NEC with 5.7 apg and 2.7 spg, and sits seventh in scoring at 15.9 ppg. He also ranked sixth nationally in assists in last Monday’s NCAA report.
