Filling in for the injured Brian Robinson, Amsel returned his first career interception 32 yards for a touchdown to increase the Hawks’ lead over Duquesne to 28-13 in the third quarter. The rookie cornerback was part a secondary that limited Duquesne’ All-American wide receiver Bruce Hocker to four catches and 39 yards in a 31-20 Monmouth victory. Amsel finished with four tackles (three solo) in his fourth career start.
