Czech broke his own Northeast Conference record by connecting on a 56-yard field goal in Saturday’s 23-20 setback to Saint Francis (PA). The strong-legged Czech, who has caught the attention of professional football scouts, nailed two 54-yarders last season to set the old mark. The senior kicking specialist, who handles punting duties and kickoffs, added a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter, but pushed another 48-yard second-quarter attempt slighlty left. He punted five times for a 37.6 yards per kick average and dropped two punts inside the SFPA 20. He averaged 66.4 yards per attempt on kickoffs.
