Wengert, a preseason all-NEC pick, earns his second weekly award of the year following his efforts in Robert Morris’ season-ending victory over Sacred Heart. The senior linebacker led the RMU defense, making 13 tackles (seven solo) in the final game of his collegiate career. Wengert forced a fumble, made an interception, registered two of his tackles for a loss to spearhead the winning effort. Wengert finishes the season with 112 tackles, becoming the third player in Colonials’ program history to eclipse the 100-tackle mark in a single season of work. The hard-hitting linebacker will graduate as the sixth-leading tackler in the RMU record book with 260 career stops.
